Regional Officer – India, University of Essex

1. Supporting the University’s ISC plan, including: i. Feeding into annual regional marketing and recruitment plans that feed into and support recruitment targets. ii. Using internal and external data to inform activity and resource planning. iii. Budget reporting and evaluating spend. iv. Providing market analysis and specialist knowledge that help inform the University’s work and investment in the region. v. Working with our partners, UKIBC, to investigate opportunities for future development of our presence in the region. i. Taking a pro-active approach to agent management including helping to expand the University’s agent portfolio. ii. Undertaking a multi-channel approach to recruitment to include schools, sponsors, local HEIs, agents and the direct channel.

2. Supporting marketing and events/stakeholder engagement activity, as required, including: i. Working with the University’s marketing teams to ensure a consistency of approach to branding, messaging and campaign development while ensuring relevance to local audiences. ii. Helping to deliver and support networking events and PR activities.

3. Supporting our alumni relations strategy within the region: i. Helping to identify alumni in key positions that may be of interest to the University ii. Occasionally organising and hosting alumni events. iii. Maintaining relationships with current students from the region and working with ISC focused student societies at the University to build deeper understanding of the student experience.

4. Supporting existing institutional partnerships within the ISC and working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the creation of new ones:

The post will involve significant international travel.
